40 years of offset innovation


For more than 40 years, Codimag has designed, manufactured and sold printing presses with high added-value at its facilities in Bondoufle, France.
Today, it is the world leader in intermittent waterless offset label and packaging printing.
Codimag offers solutions tailored to label printers’ needs with a high level of innovation, both in terms in technology and application, making its presses productive and cost-effective for many different markets.

1978 : Codimag is founded

Founded by Mr. Tison, Mr. Demol and Mr. Eveilleau, Codimag was created with the goal of building a variable format press without cylinder change for the business form market.

1981 : CODA, the first Codimag machine

First Codimag machine, the CODA will be introduced for the first time at DRUPA in 1982.

1991 – 1992 : Trasition to the label market

Codimag anticipates the development of the adhesive label by developing a dedicated offer.

1993 : New VIVA 300

La VIVA 300 letterpress is the first Codimag machine dedicated to the self adhesive market. Viva means “Vitesse et Variabilité” (“Speed and versatility”), and becomes the motto of Codimag technology

1997 : New VIVA 340

Codimag improves its technology, expand its offer and decline he technology with a wider web

1999 : Viva 340 is available in Offset waterless

For the first time, Codimag offers an offset machine for the self-adhesive market. Since the very beginning, Codimag decides to choose waterless offset technology for its superior printing quality and its inking stability. This product will make the commercial success of Codimag.

2000 : New range of inline finishing units designed by Codimag and worldwide expansion

Codimag is expanding worldwide (Europe, Russia, Australia, South Africa, Brazil, Canada…) and is completing its offer with new inline finishing options such as hot foil stamping, rotary screen printing…

2007 : Aniflo revolution

Codimag innovates by introducing a breakthrough technology, Aniflo. The Viva machines are now available in 340 and 420mm width for increased productivity and fully servo-driven machines.

2015 : New products and new markets

Codimag welcomes a new president, and introduce during Labelexpo Europe 2015 new products: Viva 340 evolution and a new flat bed foiling and embossing unit. New markets are opening for Codimag: China, Argentina, Chile,…

2017 : Codimag celebrates 40 years of success and innovation

Codimag celebrates its 40th anniversary, a year full of success, the result of its experience and unmatched product quality and service quality. Codimag illustrates the new chapter with the slogan “Let’s print the future together”

2019 : New Viva 420 unveiled at LabelExpo

After 4 first installations, Codimag unveils at LabelExpo Brussels 2019 its new high productivity Viva 420. Its new web guiding technology with dancer system web conversion allows converters to reach exceptional performances up to 85 m/min, also improving the web guiding even on the most delicate materials (film, cardboards,…). The live demonstrations show unmatched performance in terms of waste and set-up time.

2021: Codimag and Edale create the Web Tech Alliance
